The Watchmen were a second line military formation of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

History

The Watchmen were charged with the defence of Huntress, the homeworld of Clan Smoke Jaguar.[1] The galaxy was wiped out by Task Force Serpent in 3060.

Being a Solahma unit, like their brother Galaxy the Iron Guards, they only received minimum equipment, and consisted mainly of conventional infantry in 3054[2] until Galaxy Commander Benjamin Howell was able to bolster them with Star League-Mechs, Clan-Mech prototypes and Inner Sphere-Mechs (originally designated to be studied by the scientist caste). For these actions, he was later executed, but the Galaxy remained upgraded. [3]

Officers

Galaxy Commander Russou Howell of the Iron Guard Galaxy took operational control in 3059. [4]

Composition History

3059-3060

Notes

  • Star Colonel Cara of the 48th Battle Cluster believed the Galaxy name was a bad joke - as "who was there to watch for on Huntress?" [6]
  • In the computer game MechWarrior 2: Ghost Bear's Legacy, Clan Wolf raids a Smoke Jaguar freighter carrying isorla DCMS 'Mechs in February 3058. These are presumably bound for Huntress to supply the Galaxies there.
