The Dark Age[edit]
In 3136 the commanding officer of the Eleventh Triarii Protectors, Colonel Jens Scholz, established an impromptu training program within the command, and over the course of the next nine years thousands of conventional soldiers would be trained through the program. Scholz had retired from the Sixth Triarii Protectors prior to Gray Monday and remained a firm believer in the motto and the idea behind the Triarii Protectors brigade - strength, diversity and unity. Over the course of the nine years Scholz personally wrote letters of recommendation for the most promising graduates of the Eleventh's training program, supporting their applications to academies.[1]
In 3145 the Eleventh was stationed on Procyon and was known for conducting training exercises alongside any Republic Armed Forces unit that was visiting the planet.[1]
The Eleventh was located on Outreach in February 3149 when the Holdfast Guard and Warrior House Imarra invaded. Within four weeks, the CCAF had destroyed the Eleventh's forces on the world and a XIV Principes Guards battalion.[2]
As part of Operation ERUPTIO, the Eleventh was part of the Republic's task force that landed on Addicks. There they engaged the 4th Dieron Regulars, holding them in place while the XI Hastati Sentinels engaged in a headhunting operation. Then they left the world.[3] In October 3149 the Eleventh and 5th Fides Defenders arrived at a pirate point in the Liberty system. They faced the 5th McCarron's Armored Cavalry, and forced them off-world, returning Liberty to the Republic.[4]
