The 102nd Royal Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned as a part of VIII Corps, Fourteenth Army to District 1 of the Draconis Combine Military Region.[1] Elements of the 102nd had been loaned to XIV Corps to help train its many green units. This had the reciprocal effect of keeping their skills sharp in a period when there was little activity otherwise.[2]
The 102nd was transferred to District 2 in 2765 as part of the redeployment effort to fight the Periphery Uprising. The unit was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the 102nd would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[3]
