The 139th Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned as part of VIII Corps, Fourteenth Army to District 1 of the Draconis Combine Military Region.[1] The 139th and sister 231st Light Horse Regiment were used to stage surprise practice raids on divisions within XIV Corps, using their speed to test how quickly units reacted. Defensively, the 139th and 231st often operated as a pseudo light horse regimental combat team.[2]
The 139th was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the 139th would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[3]
