The 187th Royal Striker Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit assigned as part of XXXIV Corps, Ninth Army to District 2 of the Free Worlds League Military Region.[1] The independent regiments of XXXIV Corps were accustomed to working together and the 187th often paired with the Nineteenth Dragoon Regiment, harassing enemy forces long enough for the Nineteenth to arrive with their bigger guns.[2]
The 187th was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765 in response to the Periphery Uprising. The unit was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]

SLDF Striker regiments were used for reconnaissance and breakthrough exploitation.[3]
Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Striker regiment, the 187th would have been composed primarily of light to medium BattleMechs and had at least one company of Land-Air BattleMechs for recon. Also attached were pairs of aerospace fighters.[3]
