Description[edit]
The M-Pod is based on the A-Pod and B-Pod, but uses larger explosives to inflict more damage. Designed by engineers in the Solaris games, the M-Pod is essentially a modified canister of LB-X autocannon ammunition. When activated it sprays targets with a mixture of shrapnel and 'Mech sized shotgun pellets, inflicting damage out to the range of a standard Machine Gun.[5]
Unfortunately the M-Pod shares the same restricted range of its smaller cousins. Only targets that are close to the 'Mech mounting the M-Pod will be affected, and the damage drops off rapidly as the distance to the target increases. Between 0 and 30 meters the M-Pod will fling out a lot of damage[6], but the damage drops off by a third at each range bracket.[7]
One saving grace of the M-Pod is that unlike the Machine Gun, unexpended M-Pod rounds will inflict only as much damage as a single Autocannon/5 hit.[8] This is very different from the often-catastrophic results of Machine Gun ammunition detonating.

The M-Pod is manufactured on the following planets:
| Brand | Planet | Company |
|---|---|---|
