Chaultapec Virus was a disease, present on Tsingtao as of 3068, which was deadly to native wheat on that world.[1][2]

Chaultapec Virus adversely impacted on native Tsingtao wheat, which was used in bread products, as well as the popular Tsingtao beer.
In June 3068 Shun-lin Networking, Inc, a company with sites on Tsingtao, held details of genetic codes for a pesticide protocol which was expected to hold back the impact of the Chaultapec Virus on that world. Its computers and networks were however subject to a mercenary raid, sponsored by commercial rivals connected with Interstellar Expeditions, which caused this data to be lost before that year's winter. The resulting lack of control of the virus was expected to cause shortages of bread and beer for consumers, as well as stock price drops for impacted companies such as Tsingtao Bottling, due to a lack of healthy wheat from which they would usually be produced.[1][2]
