House O'Leary was a Lyran industrialist family, known mainly for being the founders and sole proprietors of Mountain Wolf BattleMechs.

During the Star League Era, the O'Learys had contracts with the Star League Defense Force, supplying them with Night Hawk and Sling BattleMechs.[1]
The First and Second Succession Wars changed that. Their only two manufacturing plants, on Vendrell and Alpheratz IV, were rendered unusable. The wars also made most of their technologies Lostech, so they weren't able to produce any 'Mechs without access to a manufacturing plant.[1]
However, the O'Learys kept their enterprise "alive," at least in name. They lost all their possessions, living on their reputation, barely keeping themselves fed. Michael O'Leary, who was CEO of Mountain Wolf at the end of the thirty-first century, tried desperately to resurrect the company, but in vain. He died sometime around 3010, succeeded by his son, Brandon O'Leary.[1]
Michael's death signaled the rebirth of the O'Learys. By 3010, Brandon had already amassed a fortune and repurchased the O'Learys' traditional home on Vendrell. The same year, he managed to retake control of the Alpheratz factory and reopen it, building the Merlin 'Mech, designed by two of his employees. Brandon even managed to make his family part of the nobility.[1] In April 3055, he reopened their other factory on Vendrell, resuming Night Hawk production.[2]

Family Heirlooms and Holdings[edit]
During the Star League Era, the O'Learys were a relatively rich house with several holdings; besides the Alpheratz and Vendrell factories, they had a palace called Snowgarden on Vendrell, their traditional residence, and another, Stonehold Estate, on Alpheratz. With the Succession Wars, they lost everything; by the turn of century, they barely had the DropShip Ceridwen.[1]
