Igniting the Flame: 3062-3069

Igniting the Flame: 3062-3069 was book written by Baron Riordan Mallory in 3080.[1]

Overview[edit]

In the book, Mallory traces the foundation of the Jihad to the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, the Whitting Conferences, the Second Star League's collapse and the Word of Blake's response.

The book describes several battles and operations taking the reader into the strategy of all sides, pointing out the faults and mismanagement that prolonged the conflict.

On personal level, the book criticizes both Dukes George Hasek and Tancred Sandoval for their unsanctioned attacks from their respective Marches. Victor Steiner-Davion is not spared this, the book pointing how he left the Federated Suns in the hands of the least military-prepared Davion in order to leave for ComStar. Princess-Regent Yvonne Steiner-Davion is one of the few escaping his criticism, pointing that Her intelligence and willingness to listen to sound advice was offset by distracted dukes and hiding from headhunting Blakist forces.[1]
