Joyna "Jab" Simms was a MechWarrior, who served within the Band of Five's Brute Lance, during the Dark Age Era.[1]
Personal Appearance[edit]
Simms was a rail-thin woman, covered with macabre tattoos, with black hair and black eyes. She also preferred black clothing, usually left her hair disheveled, and had a wild look in her eyes.[1]
History[edit]
Raised in a wealthy family on Wei, Simms attended a prestigious university on her homeworld, before going off the rails. Joining the Thuggee Cult, she participated in ritual self-sacrifices to the death goddess Kali, leaving her with extensive scaring and a Type IV prosthetic leg. Becoming a member of Jacob Bannson's security forces, she received MechWarrior training from them, and by 3133 was a member of the Band of Five's Brute Lance under the command of Stefani Ehli.[1][2]
In battle, Simms liked to rush forward into short range, firing full volley attacks against enemies and civilians alike in the "jabs" from which her own nickname derived.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Simms was known to have piloted a Mad Cat Mk II BattleMech, serial number WX001-04X, nicknamed "Kali". Initially in service with Clan Wolf, this 'Mech was captured by mercenaries loyal to Jacob Bannson shortly after the Blackout, during a raid on a Clan Wolf enclave.[1]
