Marcus Luvon was a distant cousin of the ruling family through Duke Arthur Luvon.[1]

He served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth for fifteen years resigning just before the FedCom Civil War broke out. In the wake of Peter Steiner-Davion's victory and the subsequent reorganization of the Lyran Alliance government, Archon Peter recalled Marcus to serve as the new Chief Justice.[1]
