Your first mission as a MechWarrior of Clan Ghost Bear is on Mannedorf, an outpost planet near the Draconis Combine. Mercenaries have been detected in the planet’s orbit. Defend the HPG uplink and destroy all enemy ‘Mechs.
OBJECTIVES[edit]
- Primary: Defend HPG uplink
- Secondary: Destroy all enemy ‘Mechs
- Return: ‘Mech Hangar at Base
INTELLIGENCE[edit]
72nd Trinary, there has been heavy mercenary activity on Mannedorf since we first occupied it. Though the planet has no significant natural resources, this HPG uplink location makes it an import asset to our intelligence network. Protect that uplink.
DETAILS[edit]
You have succeeded in becoming a Warrior, and now assume the highest duty – to fight for and protect our Clan. Your first mission is on Mannedorf, a planet of some strategic significance because of its proximity to the Draconis Combine. Because you are untried in battle, you are not posted near the front lines, where the greatest opportunities to win honor exist.
Mercenaries are attacking to regain the planet. If the attackers are able to destroy our HPG uplink, reinforcements to support the surrounding border planets will never arrive, and the mercenary cancer will spread into our territory.

DEBRIEFING[edit]
You have executed your first mission successfully, MechWarrior. You will remain on Mannedorf to gain experience.
Edwin Bekker: Not bad, kid, but no need to get too pleased with yourself yet. If I know mercenaries, and I do, that Freebirth scum will be back.
AFTERMATH[edit]
The HPG uplink was unharmed by the invading mercenaries. Reinforcements arrived to guard the surrounding planets, and the mercenaries were halted in their attempt to spread their influence into Ghost Bear territory. But Freeborn mercenaries are like rats; they will return, bringing with them the stench of the sewer. Your Trinary is charged with guarding the listening post against further attack. This posting will enable you to gain experience in combat and achieve honor in the eyes of your commanders.
