New Avalon Wheat was a variety of Wheat grown on New Avalon, developed by crossing Terran Wheat with native plants from New Avalon.[1]

New Avalon Wheat was one of the most famous agricultural grain crops developed during the early days of colonization on that world, known for being extremely hardy, and which subsequently spread to be grown as a staple crop through-out the Inner Sphere.[1][2] On New Avalon itself, the fertile plains on the continents of Albion, Rostock and Brunswick reliably produced bumper annual crops of New Avalon Wheat, making them the breadbasket of the Crucis March.[3]
