Richard Silver was the commanding officer of the Altair PDZ as of 3067.[1]

Hauptmann-General Silver, commanding the Sixth Syrtis Fusiliers, was stationed on Second Try in 3054.[2] By 3062, now-Major General Silver, continued to command the Sixth Fusiliers and was stationed on Hadnall. Commanding the Sixth Fusiliers since 3053, when a terrorist bombing killed fourteen of the unit's senior officers, Silver's cool-headed decision-making allowed the Sixth to make a fighting withdrawal from the collapsing Sarna March and earned him the Syrtis Medal of Honor. An apolitical officer during a time of growing political divides within the Federated Commonwealth, Silver had sworn to defend the people of the Federated Suns and his Duke above all else.[3]
After the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, now-Marshal Silver commanded the Altair PDZ by 3067.[1]
