The Sixteenth Dragoon Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned as part of XLIII Corps, Seventeenth Army to the Magistracy of Canopus area of the Periphery Military Region.[1] The Sixteenth functioned as a reserve unit, and as a result remained idle in recent years as there had been no action in XLIII Corps' operational area.[2]
The Sixteenth was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765 to take part in the Periphery Uprising. The unit survived the war and the Hegemony Campaign, and followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[1]

As an SLDF Dragoon regiment, the Sixteenth would have been composed primarily of heavy to assault BattleMechs, tanks, and hovercraft.[3]
