Stephen Lucius was a mercenary for hire.[1]
History[edit]
Receiving his MechWarrior training in Taurian Defense Force, by his late twenties Stephen Lucius had grown tired of the Taurian Concordat's military and chose to instead quit and founded his own mercenary unit. He went to Galatea were he founded it recruiting mostly light pilots, including Leonidas Simonides. It was an atypical unit, as was like a cooperative-style one. In 3025 they departed to a easy mission, a pirate hunting one.[2]
Unfortunately on one of his new unit's early missions a combat drop went bad, his command couch ripped loose when his 'Mech got damaged. While fighting on and winning the battle, Lucius suffered extensive physical injury in the process, the damage to his nervous system and limbs leaving him unable to pilot a 'Mech without considerable discomfort. Refusing to retire despite this, Stephen Lucius would only climb into the cockpit if absolutely necessary.[1].
