Copying and pasting MWO lore related to character articles on BTW

Is there anything preventing us from taking the archived canon lore about Valten Ryder, or any other character for that matter, from sources where the text was freely posted, and not illegally copied, on the internet to begin with such as from MechWarrior Online's website?--Beemer (talk) 11:14, 11 January 2024 (EST)

I am far from a copyright expert, but I would think that a copyright exists despite the text being available to the public on their website. As such, I would rewrite/paraphrase everything that was added to Sarna.--Cache (talk) 18:15, 11 January 2024 (EST)
