Taqiq al-Nahib was a MechWarrior in the Third Arkab Legion and then the Twelfth Vegan Rangers.[1]
History[edit]
Tariq was one of the few survivors from the Third Arkab Legion after the final battle for Nouveau Toulouse. In the desolate wastelands of the dying planet he met Lawrence Helmund Nelson the man who would become known as the "Twelfth Vegan Ranger." Together they aided those in need and defended against pirates and others seeking to harm the shattered populace. By the end of the First Succession War they had recruited a combined-arms battalion of like-minded warriors. Wise and sardonic he was the perfect foil for Nelson's brash idealism.[1]

If the Arkab retain the naming conventions of Terran Arabs, al-Nahib would be a descriptive or honorific and not a family name. As there are also two "h" sounds in Arabic, al-nahib can mean "the plunderer," "the lamenter," or simply "someone from Nahib." But, game developers aren't likely to know it wouldn't be a family name so Colonel Miller al-Nahib might be a relation.

Tariq piloted a Locust named Ænáram.[1]
