Torima Koontz was an officer with the Twelfth Sun Zhang Academy Cadre at the beginning of the Ronin War.
History[edit]
When Tai-shu Marcus Kurita refused to accept the establishment of the Free Rasalhague Republic in March 3034, he went rogue and traveled to the Predlitz system along with the Eighth Rasalhague Regulars and Twelfth Sun Zhang Academy Cadre. The remnants of the Eighth and Twelfth that were left behind on Rasalhague scattered into the countryside surrounding the capital city Reykjavik and its spaceport.[2] They divided up into three guerilla armies, one of which was lead by Torima Koontz.[1]
Chu-sa Koontz's group comprised two companies of Sun Zhang cadets and they withdrew overland in an attempt to reach the Hakkøn Mining complex which contained a large DropPort. Their plan was to commandeer one of Hakkøn's Mule-class DropShips and rejoin their comrades on Predlitz.[1] Despite attempts to remain hidden, satellite imagery detected their nightly marches across the desert. When they finally arrived, they found a company of First Tyr's elite BattleMechs awaiting them and surrendered without a shot being fired.[3]
Torima Koontz and all under her command would eventually die: four of the ronin committed seppuku while the rest were extradited back to Luthien and executed after a tribunal found them guilty of dishonorable conduct.[3]
