History

Formed as part of the Canopian-Taurian Treaty, the First Raventhir Cuirassiers were formed to protect Canopian interests in the New Colony Region. After they were fully formed, they formed a close bond with the Concordat Cuirassiers; The two regiments respected each other greatly, and shared a similar distrust of Inner Sphere tyranny. In 3059 the First Raventhir detached several companies to inspect the New Colony Region and the Colonial Marshals charged with protecting it.[1]

In 3067 the First Raventhir Cuirassiers were sent to Joppa to assist Lockhardt's Ironsides in pirate hunting activities. This posting to the backwaters of the Magistracy meant little opportunity for upgraded equipment, and kept the unit's morale fairly low. Only the units that fought off pirates had any higher morale.[2] The unit was split fairly evenly between Joppa and Dainmar Majoris.[3]

Officers

From 3064 to 3067 the commanding officer is Colonel Mavis Cooper[1][3].

Tactics

They prefer to engage the enemy over long distances.
