Overview
The Two Hundred Ninety-eighth BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764 the 298th was assigned to the Periphery Military Region as a part of LXIV Corps, Eighteenth Army. By 2765 the 298th had been moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery to take part in the SLDF response to the Periphery Uprising.[1] The 298th suffered heavy losses during the uprising and was disbanded in 2766.[1]

As an SLDF BattleMech division the 298th was formed from two Brigades of BattleMech regiments and a brigade of Mechanized Infantry regiments.[2]
