Overview
The 396th Dragoon Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XLV Corps, Eighteenth Army, to an undisclosed district within the Periphery, though it was pulled out by 2765 to some unknown location during the Periphery Uprising.[1] The 396th survived the war and the Hegemony Campaign, to be absorbed by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns.[1] The AFFS recruited the surviving battalion of the 396th in 2785, merging them into the Third Ceti Hussars along with a battalion recruited from the 199th Dragoon Regiment, the AFFS having founded the Third Ceti Hussars two years earlier using a battalion of troops recruited from the 250th BattleMech Division.[2]
