The Fourth Defenders of Andurien were one of the Duchy of Andurien's provincial military units.

History
At the end of the Fourth Succession War, Captain-General Janos Marik established a hospital for CCAF wounded on Scarborough. Catherine Humphries arranged a bombing at this hospital in 3028. Other CCAF troops on world rose up, and the Fourth suppressed them.[1]
During the Andurien Secession the Fourth Defenders landed on Sigma Mare in April 3031. There they destroyed the 2nd Confederation Reserve Cavalry.[2] In 3032 they moved from Sigma Mare to Betelgeuse to assist the 1st Defenders of Andurien and Tooth of Ymir[3] against Warrior House Kamata[4], Warrior House Hiritsu[5], and the Prefectorate Guard.[3] The Andurien forces had destroyed the Prefectorate Guard and they were pressing the Warrior Houses when all five regiments of McCarron's Armored Cavalry dropped on Betelgeuse. The mercenaries quickly drove the Andurien forces off the planet.[3]
To rebuild, the Fourth relocated to Shiba. After eighteen months they were ready to return to the field. Before they could ship out however, the Nightriders and The Wild Ones dropped on Shiba. The McCarron regiments forced the Fourth off world once again.[6] The Fourth relocated again, this time to Cursa. There they fought the 1st Free Worlds Guards and the 25th Marik Militia. A bomb in the FWLM command center cost the Guards their command staff, and the Fourth was able to inflict heavy losses on both formations. The 25th was reduced to a battalion, and was withdrawn to Oriente to rebuild. However other Andurien units were not so fortunate and the Fourth had to withdraw from Cursa.[7]
The Fourth moved to Andurien in May 3037. Three months later, the First Free Worlds Guards landed on Andurien, and destroyed the Fourth Defenders completely.[8]
