History
The Seventh St. Ives Lancers officially formed alongside the Sixth St. Ives Lancers in 2784, but their origins lay in an older command, the 265th Mechanized Infantry Division.[1] The 265th was originally a part of XLVIII Corps within the Star League Defense Force Seventeenth Army,[2] In 2775 the Capellan Confederation managed to woo a regiment's-worth of SLDF personnel away from the 265th and into service with the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces, and in 2784 those personnel formed the base for both the Sixth and Seventh Lancers.[1]
