Major Anton Ivanovitch was an officer in Wolf's Dragoons, who served as the commander of Charlie Battalion in Beta Regiment, as of 3028.[1]

History[edit]

Ivanovitch was an admirer of the ancient Soviets, who dubbed his battalion the "Red Guards," and liked to issue stirring calls to solidarity with the proletariat and for the victory of the working class. While for his outdated social views he was considered somewhat of crackpot by his fellow Dragoons, including his subordinates such as Captain Rick Stoner, it did not adversely impact his performance as a commander.[1]

The "Red Guards" under Ivanovitch were considered one of the most disciplined units within the Dragoons, and his leadership proved its worth during Beta Regiment's attack on the Aghama 'Mechworks on the Davion world of Deshler during early 3025, while the Dragoons were working for the Draconis Combine.[2]

Ivanovitch continued to lead Charlie Battalion until the Battle of Misery, but as part of the reorganizations following that battle, Ivanovitch retired from active service. He however continued to advise the Home Guard for a period after his retirement.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Ivanovitch was known to pilot a Marauder II BattleMech, which he called "Nicolai."[1]
