Durant Carlyle was an officer with Colby's Commandos, a small mercenary unit in the late third succession war[1], and father of Grayson Carlyle.[2]

History
When Jonathan Colby was killed on Golandrinas in 2990 Carlyle assumed command of the Commandos.[3] By 3019 the unit was renamed Carlyle's Commandos. When the unit was betrayed at Trellwan in 3024 he was killed by a Marauder piloted by the mercenary Lieutenant Vallenedel.[2]
Battlemechs
In 2990 Carlyle piloted a Shadowhawk[1]. By 3019 as commander of Carlyle's Commandos he operated a Phoenix Hawk[2].
