Earl Willie "Man Mountain" Carter served in the Seventeenth Recon Regiment, also known as Camacho's Caballeros.[1]

Earl Willie Carter was one of those on active duty with the Caballeros in 3056 when they were employed by Chandrasekhar Kurita to provide security for one of his companies, Hachiman Taro Enterprises. Carter served under both Captain Juan Pedro "Don Coyote" O'Rourke[2] and later under Captain John Amos "French Fry" Ames within the Caballero's Adelante Company.[3]
Carter had a passion for French cooking, and during a Caballeros contract on New Avalon had studied under a chef cordon bleu; after the Caballeros' contract ended, he spent a significant percentage of what he earned paying for a video correspondence course from the same chef. A large, bearded black man, Carter unfortunately had a very similar apparance to the trademarked symbol of a popular interstellar chain of barbeque restaurants that had originated in the Southwestern Worlds.
