Description

Used primarily by Clan Ghost Bear the Fire Moth is a light OmniMech capable of handling a wide variety of roles from artilery spotter to harasser and everything in between, The Fire moth is built on a weight saving Endo Steel chassis and powered by a 200 XL Engine that gives the 'Mech a top sped of 162.0 km/h and can be pushed up to an astounding 216.0 km/h in short bursts through the use of the 'Mechs MASC system. The Fire Moth carries ten double heat sinks that can dissipate the waste heat from most of the 'Mechs configurations with little trouble. Although the 'Mech uses its speed as its primary form of protection the Fire Moth does have two tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor.

Armament

The Fire Moth has an impressive short range arsenal for a light 'Mech in its primary configuration. The primary weapons are a pair of ER Medium Lasers which are supported by a SRM-6 launcher and SRM-4 launcher to seek out weak points in an enemy's damaged armor.

Alternate Configurations

• Alt Config. A - Intended more for scouting and spottign then combat the only offensive weapon the Fire Moth A carries is a Streak SRM-4. For added protection from missile fire this configuration does carry an Anti-Missile System. In order to find any possible targets as quickly as possible the AQ configuratin has an Active Probe and has a TAG laser designator to target enemy units for artillery fire. BV (1.0) = 550

• Alt Config. B - Intended for close combat the Fire Moth B has as its primary weapons a pair of Medium Pulse Lasers. These are backed up by a pair of Machine Guns and an A-Pod for anti-infantry use and also has an ECM Suite to protect the 'Mech from adanced electronic warfare systems. BV (1.0) = 840

• Alt Config. C - A long range fire support configuration the Fire Moth C has two LRM-5 missile launchers and an Anti-Missiel system to protect the 'Mech from missile fire. BV (1.0) = 636

• Alt Config. D - A powerful close combat and harasser confugration of the Fire Moth this configuration carries a simple but effective payload of five ER Medium Lasers tied to an advanced Targeting Computer. For anti-infantry use the 'Mech has a single Flamer. BV (1.0) = 1,446

• Alt Config. E - A simple configuration of the Fire Moth this configuration carries a single ATM-6 launcher which is capable fo firing specialized ammunitionf or short, medium, and long ranges. BV (1.0) = 633

• Alt Config. H - The Fire Moth H caries an astounding nine Heavy Small Lasers which are capable of doing a great deal of damage to an enemy 'Mech . To help compensate for the 'Mechs massive heat load ti carries an additional double heat sink. BV (1.0) = 485
