Description[edit]

The Harrier was initially commissioned by the Star League Defense Force in 2749 and was intended as a general-purpose support for BattleMech operations but would be more commonly used for cavalry and long-range reconnaissance.[3] As the Succession Wars ground on, the necessary scavenger habits of the Inner Sphere would strip many fusion powered tanks of their engines to provide spares for 'Mechs with the Harrier only escaping due to the rare Vlar 265 which was primarily used in the civilian sector. The Harrier would cease production after the Free Worlds League captured Carver V in the mid-thirtieth century and Ingrid Liao refused to rebuild the production line. The Harrier would return after the Drillson sparked a renaissance in fusion powered hovercraft. It would make a significant return after the Federated Commonwealth captured Carver V during the Fourth Succession War as part of the FedCom fusion revival program which would culminate in the Fulcrum and upgraded Condor.[3]

Armament[edit]

The Harrier has a large laser as its primary weapon, backed up by an SRM-6 launcher fed by one ton of ammunition. A single medium laser covers the rear arc of the vehicle.

Variants[edit]

  • PPC
    This variant replaces the Lasers with a PPC.[2] BV(2.0) = 859 [2]
