History

Helen Cassidy was the commanding officer of the 5th Amphigean Light Assault Group in 3050.[1]

Her unit was stationed on Krenice when Clan Ghost Bear arrived during the Clan Invasion. The Fifth was able to dead severe damage to the Twelfth Bear Chevaliers when they first landed, and proceeded to launch a series of raids on their supply lines and ran a series of hit and run assaults. The Ghost Bears were able to flush the Fifth out of their hiding places via air support, and forced the Fifth to move across the continent away from their DropShips. Trying to get the best of a bad situation, Helen Cassidy dispatched smaller groups to slow the pursuing Bears by hitting them in the flanks, the most successful of which saw a company from the Fifth lead the Chevaliers on an extended wild goose chase through LightDraught Woods, getting the Chevaliers so completely lost in a couple of hours that the Chevaliers had to break off their pursuit and call for assistance from their aerospace forces to lead them out of the Woods.

The Fifth was driving towards the city of Hasnorvan while stringing out and attacking the Bears. Star Colonel Douglas Silva deployed the Sixty-third Assault Trinary from the 12th Bear Chevaliers ahead of the rest of the Chevaliers, and the Sixty-third had dug in and waited for the Fifth to move into range. As the Sixty-third engaged the Fifth the rest of the Chevaliers attacked, catching the Fifth in an interlocking attack that swiftly destroyed the Fifth.[2]

When the Battalion sized Mercenary unit known as The 48th,. which was made up of the surviving members of the Fifth Amphigean Light Assault Group, she was not amongst them.[3]
