Biography

Henry DeCalidore was the Speaker of the Assembly in 2849.[1]

When Claudius Steiner died, her wife Rebecca Morgan didn't wish to rule as regent because she believed the power caused Claudius' madness.[2] As their daughter Elizabeth Steiner was still a minor, the Lyran Commonwealth was put in charge of the Triumvirate Regency, that ruled the Lyran Commonwealth between 2849 and 2859. It consisted of Duchess Rebecca Morgan wife of Claudius Steiner, Henry DeCalidore of Furillo and Speaker of the Assembly of the Estates General and Duchess Ilysa Aten.[1]

The last four years of the Triumvirate Regency were less effective than the first six as the three members, Henry among them, began to play political games against each other rather than work together for the good of the realm. These games were not effective for the realm, but did serve as an education for the future Archon.[3] In addition when the realm faced a major threat, such as a Draconis Combine invasion like their operation to capture Hesperus II in 2853, the Regents banded together to counter it.[4]

In the end though, the Lyran state was damaged, its economy in downturn, and industries in need of repair.[4]

During the Regency, arts of all sorts flourished.[2]
