Description

During the Jihad, the Capellan Confederation's forces were savaged by onslaught of the war. After receiving call from CCAF High Command to submit designs help aid rebuilding the armed forces, Hellespont 'Mech Works responded with the HW1 Hwacha.

The Hwacha is based on the Light SRM Carrier, the company using a blended of primitive technologies and recent design weaponry, as in attempted to market the vehicle as updated version of the smaller machine at low cost.

The vehicle was not attractive to many House Liao commanders, which lead to the company pushing to sell the vehicle outside the state. The vehicle would later be seen in ranks of periphery and some breakaway Free Worlds League states.[2]

Armament and Capacities

Vehicle's sole weaponry lies in its three 20-tubed Medium Ranged Missile Launchers found in the turret. With nine gunners, the vehicle's turreted weapons supplied with six tons of ammunition. The weapons are guided by modern military Advanced Fire Control system.

Hwacha's components, including its engine, chassis and armor plate all utilize primitive grade technology. Its hull is only covered with 3 tons of the primitive grade armor.[3]

Notes

The Hwacha features Tech Level C Chassis, Engine/Controls and Armor.

As with many XTRO publications, the Hwacha's image is repurposed from the Light SRM Carrier from Technical Readout: 3060.[4]

Errata Note: As time of this writing ratings of the Hwacha was noted, with problems with the original entry found in XTRO: Retrotech. No canon fixes have been posted at this time.[5]
