History

Formed 2572 by members of the Illician Order (ancient military brotherhood). They worked for every Star League member state and also for the SLDF for the next two centuries. two Regiments were destroyed (First and Seventh Illician Rangers) by the final assault of Terra. During the Succession Wars the Lancers were reduced first to half of its original strength and in the 3rd Succession War must sell most of its JumpShip assets for normal operations after a disastrous contract with the CCAF. Since this time they were employed by the AFFC. The High Command assigned them as part of the Capellan March defense network.

The command was a central element in the Operation Sovereign Justice. During the campaign the units has their gains and loses.

During the Jihad the 9th Rangers were completely destroyed. The 59th Strike Regiment and 4th Rangers lost half their troops in combat before beginning to rebuild. In 3079 the Illician Lancers were stationed along the Federated Suns/Taurian Concordat border to supplement that area's defenses.[1]

Officers

A group of Elders selected a officer as leader and give to them the title General. The General can reelect after a 6 year term. The Colonels are also elected by this group. General Brenda Bradley lead the organization for the last 21 years,

Support

  • The Lancers have enough support personal for every aspect of daily military life.
  • The Unit owns 1 Star Lord-class and 1 Invader-class JumpShip and must hire additional assets for the transportation of the entire Brigade
  • They have sufficient DropShip capacity.
