Description
Designed as a fast, cheap and effective raider, the J.Edgar was the last military vehicle that Alphard Trading Corporation manufactured before they disappeared. Unfortunately the J.Edgar proved quite ineffective and was soon phased out, until Pinard Protectorates Limited licensed the designs and began manufacturing new variants.
Armament
The vehicle manages to mount a Medium Laser and 2 SRM 2s primary for close range raiding missions. Using it's astonishing speed, it closes in and fires a full alpha strike before quickly falling back to evade the enemy's return fire.
Variants
- Flamer - This version replaces the 2 SRM 2s packs with 2 Flamers, it's primarily uses as a defoliant. BV (2.0) = 456
- Machine Gun - It mounts 2 Machine Guns in place of each SRM 2s. This model is uses against infantry, with it's 4 Machine Guns it can even prove deadly against Battle Armor. BV (2.0) = 482
- TAG - This fire support/spotter variant mounts a TAG and a Beagle Active Probe for spotting and aquiring targets deep behind enemy lines. The Active Probe would allow it to detect powered down or hidden/stealth targets within the area. BV (2.0) = 489
- ICE - During the Succession Wars many J.Edgar were damage and their expensive fusion engines were scarce and rare, so many were replaced with old Internal Combustion Engines which took up more room and weigh more. This greatly reduced is speed to 129 Kph and defence as they had remove 1 tonne of armor to accommodate the new engine.
