History
The Last Knights were a mercenary unit consisting of twenty-four BattleMechs and two infantry battalions when the Word of Blake invaded Galatea. By 15 November 3072 they had been reduced to six 'Mechs (including two absorbed from another destroyed mercenary command) and some infantry, and would be whittled down even further despite being joined during their flight by the remnants of Gideon's Gangbusters, yet another mercenary unit (consisting of an Axman and more infantry).
Only CO Kerris in his Cestus and an associate MechWarrior in a Templar ultimately managed to escape from Galatea on the DropShip Lady Loon on 26 November.[1]
