Description

The FB-335 Longhaul was a large fixed wing conventional air transport build by the Federated-Boeing company during the 31st Century. The company built the aircraft to rugged and able take-off and fly from short & rough airfields.

Originally, the aircraft was produced for intent as a logistic transport for the AFFS's Department of the Quartermaster. Where aircraft's performance was scrutinized by in series of test flights. The aircraft was not only accepted by AFFS Quartermaster, but number of civilian company purchased the durable and low maintenance aircraft for their own fleets.[1]

Equipment and Capacities

The Longhaul is built on a STOL Chassis, which allows aircraft to be able to and land small airfields despite is size. The standard version of the aircraft is fitted out to carry 105 tons worth of cargo, which can be rolled-in and out through four doors found in front, left and right side of the aircraft.

In addition to its cargo capacity, the Longhaul is fitted accommodate 26 passengers with galley & restrooms for long-duration flights.

The craft is protected by 4.5 tons of BAR 8 grade commercial armor.

Variants

The Longhaul has been designed to be able to changed out its capacities with modules. AFFS has used this capacity to be able switch the aircraft to handle troop transport role or even utilized as a Mobile Headquarters.

Civilian users of the aircraft sometimes fit the aircraft as additional passenger seats and needed fitting. These craft are able to handle 700 passengers for long-duration flights.[2]

Notes

As of this writing there are no published record sheets available for the Longhaul or its variants.

The aircraft's module abilities are noted in the original TRO text, however these reconfigurable is fluff only and there are no game mechanics involved.
