Description

The Prairie Schooner Land Train was created by the Johnston Industries of New Syrtis. The company created the two components of the Land Train, the tractor and its modules.

The Modules are interconnectable trailers that are designed connect to one another and be pulled by the Tractor. The modules are powered by the tractor's Fusion Engine.

The vehicle became common among the worlds of the FedSun's Capellan March.

Equipment and Capacities

The Module (trailer) has been given 2.5 tons of light composite armor to allow for better protection against normal threats to the train. The vehicle is not armed with any weaponry, however customers have added weapons.

The vehicle is setup with the Trailer and Off-road Chassis and Controls Modifications. The offroad suspension and big wheels adds to stability and provides an easy ride for the crew and cargo.

Cargo

The vehicle standard module has a 22.5 ton capacity cargo bay which has two accessible door on the left & right sides.

Variants

These trailers come in many different variations. These include liquid containers, passenger transport bays, refrigerated modules trailers and live stock transport.

Customers on more hostile worlds have armed their modules with blisters of light weaponry to ward of hostile native threats. These modifications have included anti-infantry and light weaponry blisters/turrets such weapons as SMGs.
