History[edit]

Blackout[edit]

A native of Northwind, while Pryer was the descendant of those who had served in the Northwind Highlanders before Pax Republica, she had no military experience prior to the Blackout. Despite this, when she accepted conscription following Countess Tara Campbell's call to arms, she was determined not to disappoint. Assigned as a driver for a Partisan AA Vehicle, she joined the Northwind Fusiliers, in their defense of Addicks. During the Katana Tormark and her Dragon's Fury attack on that world, Pryer was helping to protect a ammo dump, when a lucky hit from a Fury VTOL killed her commander and seriously injured her gunner. Refusing to flee, she manned her Partisan's guns and shot down two Fury aircraft while firing blind, until reinforcements finally arrived.

She was rewarded for this heroism by being given command of her own vehicle just a few days later. As a vehicle commander, she insisted all of her crew cross-train on each other duties, though she personally avoided manning the guns after Addicks.[1][2]

Republic Remnant[edit]

When Tara Campbell joined the Republic Remnant, Pryer went with her, such that she was on Dubhe in June 3149. When Dubhe's defenders were overrun by the Wolf Empire, Pryer scored four aerospace fighter kills and multiple battle armor kills, while covering the Remnant's retreat to their DropShips near the city of Greenwich.[2]

BattleMech[edit]

Pryer was known to have piloted a Partisan AA Vehicle, serial number RS0517-146B. Built for the Republic of the Sphere, and forming part of Northwind's garrison before the Blackout, it was still almost factory new when it was assigned to Pryer.[1][2]
