The Return of Martin Guerre was a play, a production of which premiered on Regulus in 3071.[1]

Overview[edit]

On 23 January 3071, a gala premier was held at the Agra Theater in Regulus City for a production of this play, which was attended by Captain-General Kirc Cameron-Jones and his date Sonja Amora.

Notes[edit]

The play was presumably based on the historical case of Martin Guerre, and the historical literary adaptions thereof, which was a famous sixteenth-century example of fraudulent impersonation of a person's identity. The support of the 3071 Regulan production of the play by Kirc Cameron-Jones, including his public suggestion that it could "also educate us about the present", was therefore possibly related to his discontent at the then recent revelations that Thomas Halas had been impersonating the legitimate Captain-General Thomas Marik.[1]
