This unit was formed after the successful actions of the 1st Taurian Lancers impressed the TDF command enough to repeat the unit experiment. By 3042 a regiment of light to medium weight mechs had been assenbled and pair with a regiment of heavy and assault weight tanks (Heavy LRM Carriers).[1] The new unit has had little time to perfect/aquire a singular set of tactics, but have been employed as a defensive unit. The unit's symbol is an armored bull with starbursts at the tips of his horns set over interlocking circles.

- Colonel Darlene McKinnon has brought the unit up to scratch since taking over in 3059.[2]
- 3064 the commanding officer of the unit is Colonel Andrews.[3]
- 3067 the unit is commandet by Colonel William "Stable Manager" Mouat.[4]
