Prelude[edit]

The Fifty-third Falcon Talon was present for the February 3148 Battle of Coventry but was so badly mauled that Galaxy Commander Stephanie Chistu ordered them back to their Upano garrison for refit.[1]

Overview[edit]

The First Wolf Strike Grenadiers landed at Auklake and drove straight towards the garrison at Cimony. Star Captain Lana's Trinary was at the spearhead of the assault. Pushed from their defensive positions the Falcons attempted to regroup but were constantly harassed. The Wolves split some forces off which rolled over the few Falcons garrisoned at Domieir Station. Shattered, the Falcons attempted to retreat off world but the two Wolf forces converged on the Falcon DropShips and destroyed or captured the entire Cluster.[2][3]

Aftermath[edit]

After seizing control of Upano, the Exiled Wolves strongly suggested to Lyran Commonwealth leaders on Coventry that Lyran forces should garrison the world, effectively giving control of the planet to the Commonwealth.[1]

For her actions in this battle Lana would earn the right to compete for, and win, the Bloodheritage of Khan Phelan Kell.[3]

Notes[edit]

The entry for the Gossamer VTOL in Technical Readout: 3145 seems to describe a previous engagement on Upano between these Clusters in the 3143 Clan Jade Falcon drive towards Tharkad, but this appears nowhere else and contradicts the brief account of a Lyran Commonwealth defense in Era Report: 3145
