After Clan Hell's Horses invaded Clan Wolf's Inner Sphere territory the Horses needed to rebuild from the losses they incurred. The Cygnus was the result and entered service in 3075. Its simple design allows for fewer things to go wrong without losing its lethality.

The Cygnus can bring devastating firepower to bear with its dual assault Autocannons.
