Major General Gwilim Lloyds was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 265th Mechanized Infantry Division from at least 2760 to 2764.[1]

A native of the Capellan Confederation world of Almach, Lloyds continued to be sympathetic to the Liao cause even as a senior SLDF officer, and was appointed to lead a Division with a strongly Capellan history and recruitment pool.
When the Border War between the Capellans and the Federated Suns broke out, Lloyds with many of his troops, were horrified the SLDF did not come to the defense of House Liao. This extended to Lloyds publicly rebuking the Star League for not resolving the issue of Chesterton in the Confederations favor before the conflict,
This disloyalty to the League was met with a reprimand from his superiors, but he remained popular with his troops, and therefore was not removed from command.[1]
