Following Jason Karrige's despicable role in the Annihilation of Clan Wolverine and his death on Barbados in what amounted to an execution, the Karrige Bloodname was effectively Reaved on explicit orders of ilKhan Nicholas Kerensky.[2] However, due to the general cover-up and falsification of historical records pertaining to the Wolverine Annihilation, the Bloodname was officially discontinued and Jason Karrige said to have died in honorable battle. The Khans who had been present on Barbados relayed to the other Khans, "albeit carefully", what had happened to Karrige, suggesting the real circumstances never became known among the Clan population in general.[3] Official Clan records from this chaotic time were modified to claim that his bloodline was "lost" in a lab accident.[4][5] In reality, his genetic legacy was unofficially "Reaved" for his duplicity in escalating Nicholas' planned Trial of Absorption of Clan Wolverine into an Annihilation.
