Major General Kelson Ripley was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's LIV Corps as of 2764.[1]
History[edit]
Born on Ronel in the Terran Hegemony, Ripley was known as a polite but straight talking solider in diplomatic circles, and by his troops as a perfectionist with a drill sergeant's persona. His relationship with Fourth Army commander General Tatjana Baptiste was quiet, as given LIV Corps' status as a reserve unit, Baptiste was happy to let Ripley have the freedom to make his own decisions.
Conscious of his unit's diplomatic role in the Federated Suns given New Avalon was in his area of operations, while Ripley spent much of his time travelling around to visit his various divisions, he timed these trips to ensure he was on the Suns' capital for important events.[1]
Ripley was an old friend of 173rd BattleMech Division CO Major General Renzo Rizzo and the tales they told about their long SLDF careers over dinner together were legendary.[2]
