[edit] Description
Developed by Clan Nova Cat to be a companion 'Mech to the Black Hawk, the Sphinx was introduced during the Jihad. Like the Black Hawk the Sphinx is an all-laser 'Mech, and also suffers from overheating like it's medium cousin, but in far higher magnitudes. Some Sphinxes are produced by Clan Sea Fox as well.

The fast and well-armored 'Mech uses an advanced targeting computer slaved to its lasers.

- - Uses eight ER Small Lasers and two ER Large Lasers for variable fire.
- - Removes the more advanced targeting system, MASC and uses Ferro-Fibrous armor to free up space for two additional ER Large Lasers.
- - Also makes the space saving changes with the addition of using Heavy Small Lasers instead of the ER Medium Lasers to allow two Large Pulse Lasers.
