Piloting a Rogue-LX in the Second Division, Heron became an ace during her first engagement against the initial assault Word of Blake fighters during the invasion of Epsilon Indi in the Jihad. An outnumbered Heron was ultimately killed during the next Blakist wave.

One of the 2nd Division CO (Colonel Regis Grandi) last acts before the division was destroyed was to request ComStar's highest honors for her.[1]
