Unit Description
The 101st Pesht Guards Regiment was a Infantry based combat unit that was in the service of the Draconis Combine's Armed Forces. The command was made up principally of conventional infantry which was agumented by some airborne combat vehicles and conventional aircraft formations.
History
The unit had been attached to the 6th Pesht Regulars not so long before the starter of the Clan Invasion. They would work develop close working ties with Regulars' 3rd company[1], regardless of growing antagonizing between 3rd company and rest of this mech unit.[2]. Later in history, when 'Mech Regiment been divided by reassigning of Regulars 2nd company on Land's End, Guards would be left on Qandahar with 3rd company and rest of regiment.[3]
As their parent Unit, the Guards would have no active role in early Jihad and would remain stranded on Qandahar. Later they would be transferred to Kaznejoy as an deterrent against raids by troops from Draconis March. In 3076, not so long before Operation SCOUR regiment could taken part in clashes with Lyran's 7th Donegal Guards on a planet [Lyons]].[4]. After that incident, the 6th Regulars would be sent back to Pesht.[5].
