Overview
The Twenty-seventh Combined Strike Cluster was a second line military formation of Clan Diamond Shark, that was later captured and incorporated into the Touman of Clan Coyote as the Twenty-seventh Strike Cluster.
History
Clan Diamond Shark
The Cluster was part of Zeta Galaxy and was stationed on Tathis between 3060 and 3067.[1][2]
Clan Coyote
In Mid 3070 Clan Coyote moved against Diamond Shark holdings in Clan space with limited trials of possession, capturing the Cluster intact and adding it to their Touman. [3]
The Steel Viper Rho Galaxy deployed to Eden to engaged the garrison of Clan Wolf during their Abjuration in 3071. The Viper clusters had surrounded the Wolf enclave when they were hit by surprise by the Twenty-seventh Strike Cluster in the rear and then by the Wolves from the front. In the confusion Galaxy Commander Varga of the Steel Vipers was killed along with half his force.[4]
In 3072 the Twenty-seventh and the Forty-fourth Battle Cluster hit the Steel Viper's Beta Galaxy positions on Londerholm destroying the 195th Striker Cluster in the fighting.[5]
The Cluster in not recorded in the Coyote Touman of 3085 and it must be presumed to have been destroyed during the Wars of Reaving.[6]
Officers
Between 3060 and 3067 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Isabelle.[7][2]
Tactics
The warriors of the Cluster are experts to gain ground and hold it at any cost. They command use the terrain to their full advantage. The ground units, two trinaries, are well support by the 6 stars of fighter. The pilots prefer engagement in the atmosphere.[7]
