On the 17th, the mercenary unit The Kell Hounds, arrives conducts a sneak attack against them. Kell Hounds' 1st Battalion over run 3rd Command HQ and killing regiment's commander. After the realizing that the unit was cut off from its DropShips, the 3rd in command Tai-sa Hiro Akuto surrenders.[2]

Jihad
The Third were prepared for the Word of Blake invasion of Dieron, but by March 3068 most of their fixed positions were overrun by the Blakists. Only the arrival of the 10th Ghost prevented them from collapsing completely. They ceased to be an effective combat unit in 3070 when their headquarters was overrun; The remnants of the Third surrendered shortly thereafter. Survivors of the unit scattered across the world; some were captured by the Blakist forces.[3]

Tai-sa Gerrald Hyogo was the commanding officer of the Third during the Jihad.[4]
